Resilient Environments: Remediation Strategies for a Sustainable Planet

This 5-day winter school, developed for international students (both European and non-European) from the universities partnered or affiliated with the SULIEIA project, will focus on the assessment, management, and remediation of contaminated soil, water, and air. The course will allow the participants to gain insight into the latest understandings and knowledge within site characterization, risk assessment, remediation techniques, and government policy, and will be followed by case studies and a site tour. The participants will receive a downloadable Course Handbook and a Certificate of Completion.

SULILEIA Winter School “Environmental Management”
Organized by Prof. Anna De Marco (Dept of Pharmacy) and Prof. Giulia Guerriero (Dept. of Biology) of the University of Naples Federico II
The Winter School on ‘Environmental Management’ will focus on evaluating innovative and sustainable management systems for natural, agricultural, and anthropic ecosystems. It will increase knowledge on emerging toxins and contaminants, while emphasizing the proper utilization of both aquatic and terrestrial natural resources. The Winter School aims to broaden students' knowledge of diverse environmental challenges through an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, leading to innovative, comprehensive, and environmentally sustainable solutions.
The Winter School will last five days and is intended for international students selected from the consortium universities of the Sulileia Project.
